Ankush R. Shinde is a retired officer of the Indian Police Service from the Maharashtra cadre. He began his state police service in 1992 and was inducted into the IPS with the 2003 year of allotment.
His assignments covered rural and metropolitan policing, district leadership, internal security, correctional administration, commissionerate command and state intelligence. He served as Police Commissioner of Solapur, Pimpri Chinchwad and Nashik.
In senior leadership, he served at the rank of Special Inspector General of Police. His final phase of service included responsibility in State Intelligence and VIP Security. He retired from public service in 2025.
